Click Rights 2013

The fact that children selling flowers, cleaning our house, begging on the road and doing other odd jobs doesn't seem abnormal to us and no longer strike us as a sore part of our society shows  our level of ignorance towards the out-of-school children

CRY's Click Rights 2013 aims to bring back the 'FOCUS ON THE
CHILD'

Click Rights was a one month long photojournalism campaign started on 1st week of August reaching out to citizens and asking them to capture photographs focusing on out-of-school children.

CRY corners were set up at St. Sophia’s and Kalina Campus in Mumbai, interactive activities like pledge board and write message to your politician
were planned  which got an amazing response by the students.

CRY tied up with MUST RADIO which started regular announcements about the cause from 30th July. Also MUST radio interviewed CRY’s regional director Ms Kreeanne and college students about their understanding and views about RTE.

A two day exhibition in Phoenix Market City Mumbai and Pune  was organized where  more than 500 people were reached during the event by conducting various interactive activities like snakes and ladders , write message for politician and child.
Maxi Zavier-the famous photographer visited us at Mumbai and appreciated the exhibition. Eminent photographers like Mr Sudharak Olwe, Mr Kaushal Parikh, Mr Altaf Qadri, Mr Fawzan Hussain contributed to the cause by participating in the campaign and sharing their photographs.

Also, we were successful in collecting more than a three hundred messages and spreading awareness about the cause and grabbing attention with the help of a flash mob organized by Sophia College (Mumbai) and Zumba (Pune)  and a breathtaking performance by …….band.

CRY (Pune) organized a CYCLE RALLY where 30 bicyclist cycled from Fargisson college to German bakery for 13 Kms with CRY stickers on their t-shirt to spread more awareness about the campaign.

The end of the campaign marked a beginning to a whole lot of sensitized and more aware set of individuals who realized the need of helping the out-of-school children, shared their opinion and the willingness to do their bit in providing the necessary. We, at CRY are open to any kind of voluntary help to support the cause.
